It's not all lollipops and rainbows. Although the Ctek 3300 battery charger performs very well, the manual that comes with it, could be better. Check out the following Ctek 3300 user review from Amazon:
Works okay, but instructions are vague
by MTPockets
I read (and re-read) the instructions that came with this unit and in one section it has instructions to 'not' attach the clips directly to one post of the battery, but instead to have a length of wire attached to one of the posts if the battery is out of the vehicle. Later instructions don't say this. It's simple enough to attach one of the alligator clips to a ground on a battery installed in the vehicle, but I find it ridiculous to suggest that I need to attach a "jumper cable" to a battery outside of a vehicle, just to charge it.
The leads (alligator and other) are just too short. Another 6 inches would have made them more usable.
Note: whether the length of the leads are long enough will depend on how, and with which vehicle you use the Ctek 3300 battery charger.

Ctek 3300 Review - Hands down the best battery tender / trickle charger made
Here's a raving Ctek 3300 review from Amazon.com:
By Richard J. Misner
I own two of these excellent chargers - they are very simple to operate and very durable.
The chargers are weatherproof, and you can permanently mount them in the engine compartment with the provided ring terminals, or just use the alligator clips.
The charger has a battery status indicator (low / full), and settings for Motorcycle, Car, or Gel battery. The charger cycles from trickle current, to pulses, and shuts off when the battery is full. There is no better charger for winter storage battery tending, bringing nearly dead batteries back to life, or just recharging boat batteries slowly overnight.
Finally, I should mention that the current version of the 3300 has some improvements over the already excellent older version (I now have one of each). The latest version includes:
- Heavier gauge wiring
- Much heavier and more durable alligator clips
- A nice zip-up storage case
